25X1A detailed to the Office of the
Inspector General., was presented with a Certificate of
Exceptional Service in recognition of his service
The Director of Security, who made the presentation, commented
25X1A that had completed a difficult, dangerous, and
delicate assignment which involved the highest degree of
professionalism, willingness to accept personal inconvenience
over an extended period and demonstrated courage.
25X1A was presented a Career Intelligence
Medal on u y 1977 in recognition of sustained superior
performance during 25 years as an Agency employee.
25X1A received a letter of appreciation
from t e erector o ersonnel commending his contribution
as Security Advisor to the Suggestion Awards Committee.
3. (U) Recognition of Office Performance
The Assistant to the DCI for Public Affairs has compli-
mented all Office of Security personnel involved in recent
visits of the media to Headquarters. Dealings with media
representatives were described as courteous and supportive
without compromise of security responsibility.

The Director of.Security announced that fourteen new
positions have been approved for an expanded Industrial
Security Program to. commence. officially on 1 October 1977.
A new unit within the Office will be created to service the
expanded activity. Staffing of this unit will require some
transfers of personnel in and out of Headquarters.
6. (U Project Outreach..
Following completion of test Family Day tours this month,
it is anticipated that the first public tour will be held on
Saturday, 17 September. Exhibits are either complete or
almost so and plans have been made for parking, internal
control, and informational service. Visitors will be required
to obtain admission tickets from their Congressman or Senator.
Project Outreach will be extended by additional media
coverage. The TV production "Good Morning America" plans a
one-hour production which will feature a live broadcast of
the DCI commenting on film depicting recruiting and training
of Agency personnel. Filming is scheduled to begin on
17 September.
7. (C) Overseas Inspection Trip bthe Director of Security
On 4 September, the Director of Security will begin an
inspection tour of several facilities in Europe
