5. Proposed OS Move
In a continuing effort to more efficiently utilize
Headc{uarters office space, the DDCI is considering
moving the Office of Security (with the exception
of the Community Security Group land Headc{uarters
Security Branch) to the - Buj~.lding. The move
would be contingent an locating new office space
for ODE components currently occupying the
Building. This proposal is based on the long- e d
belief that almost all component;'s of the Office of
Security must accompany Security Records Division
in any relocation. Although the DDCI's proposal is
not absolutely firm (certain considerations regarding
SRD and Polygraph: Branch space and office reconfigura-
Lion must be addressed), it appears that this move is
very probable. Under current planning, the move would
not occur for approximately 1 l/2 - 2 years. (C)
