Much zscussion centere around personnel management planning programs in the various directorates. He expressed great pride in the Office of Security's personnel management planning pirocedures and, while continued improvement is neededj, Mr. Gambino felt that the Office of Security is;"out (rant" and sets an example for the personnel management programs of other Agency directorates. Proposed OS Move In a continuing effort to more efficiently utilize Headc{uarters office space, the DDCI is considering moving the Office of Security (with the exception of the Community Security Group land Headc{uarters Security Branch) to the - Buj~.lding. The move would be contingent an locating new office space for ODE components currently occupying the Building. This proposal is based on the long- e d belief that almost all component;'s of the Office of Security must accompany Security Records Division in any relocation. Although the DDCI's proposal is not absolutely firm (certain considerations regarding SRD and Polygraph: Branch space and office reconfigura- Lion must be addressed), it appears that this move is very probable. Under current planning, the move would not occur for approximately 1 l/2 - 2 years. (C) 8. (U) 1D. DDA Office Heads Conference Mr. Gambino, along with other DDA office heads, will attend a conference at the from 5 - 7 April 1979. He willigive a short state of the office" message as well as a 1.1/2 hour presen~ tation on the Office of Secuxity's Task Force Recommenda- tions.
