Attached for your information is a copy of a cable from Gen. Smith
which sets forth very clearly his views on the use of the term ''EYES
ONLY".
I believe that it ]T ght be wis to again inform the releasing and
preparing officers to avoid the use of this term in outgoing messages
and to have them advise their correspondents in the field to avoid ~_sing
it on cables addressed to Hors.
