Operations: 25X1 A The main phase of operations is still that of covering the plan by daily monitoring. Logs on this monitoring will be submitte together with this report. Having received word from the that 25X1 A additional information would be appreciated, a directive was prepared for all operators to read and take the necessary action. The additional infor- mation requested has been included in the daily logs beginning with April 20, the day on which we-,were requested to include same. It is believed that all possible information is now included in the daily logs and if any further activities on the monitored frequencies are required, we shall be very happy to submit them on request. In conjunction with the monitoring, it should be pointed out here, as it has been in the logs, that with the coming of summer and a con- sequent change in atmospheric conditions, the interference is increasing very much. There is an almost constant "crackling" in the receivers now and 25X1A it will undoubtedly increase in strength and duration as the summer progresses. Periodically, we have also been monitoring the broadcasts of ' with excellent results. Signals are received very well with solid copy being possible on all broadcasts and all frequencies. Construction work is progressing very well at present. During the past month, we have completed two antennae at each location, together with the transmission lines. The micro wave equipment has been installed and connected into the vans and test between the two fields is now in progress. It is hoped to have these units in perfect working order before the end of the week. To coincide with the completion of this work, we have also moved all vans to their proper locations on each of the two respective fields, tied them into their antennae, and also hooked them together as originally planned. In accomplishing this, it has also been possible to completely move our remaining equipment to the permanent hangar assigned for our use. 3. Supply: Supplies from the Home Office have been coming through very well 2 5X1A with everything received being well packed and undamaged. At the moment, there are seven cases not received out of a shipment of eight cases.
