The action of trialkyl tin halide compounds on trialkyl
phospliftes leads to the formation of the ester of tri-
al4l tin phosphonic acid. The compound obtained is
the first representariveof tin phosphorous compounds
with a directly bonded P-Sn. The P-Sn bond in the
product obtained is unstable and can be broken easily at
room temperature by the action of STO HCI, chlorine
and a6eLyl chloride. Water in the absence of acids
does not hydrolyze the ester of trialkyl tin phosphonic f T..6i-l S.M...

By the interaction of dialkyl tin dihalide compounds on
trialkylphosplilte a new type of phosphor-us tin com-
pound is obtained, the ester of dialkyl tin dipbosphoni(
acid. , The compounds show dimerism. The P-Sn bond
in R2Sn(PO(OR)2)2 is unstable and is easily broken by
the action of HX acids, halides and NaOH. By the in-
teraction of CH3Sn13 with trimethyl phosphite,
CH3Sn(Po(OC143)2)3 is obtained. It cannot be isolated
in an analytically pure state. An analogous reaction
occurs between tin iodide and triethylphosphite. In

By the action of alkyl tin halide derivatives on the
esters of pbenylphosphonous and diphenylphosphinous
acids phosphorous tin compounds are synthesized
containing the phenyl radical linked to P. In the com-
pounds the bond P-Sn it; easily ruptured by the action
of HCI, KOH and C12. Pure water does not rupture
