Navy and Air serving as ad- visors, the question was raised as to whether the committees of USIS should change their membership composition. It was agreed that DIA would study the problem. DIA has now indicated to the Director that it feels Army. Navy and Air should retahi membership on the USIB Com- mittees. Mr.= called me for my reaction to this as regards the Secu- rity Committee, and I advised approval of the DIA position that Army, Navy and Air representation was necessary for the effective operation of the Committee.
