Fur pose The purpose of this Notice is to bring to the attention of all Agency employees basic provisions which relate to what is cornn,only known as the "Third Agency Rule," regarding the disser ination of information originating in another agency. Specific Controlling Requirements. In the interest of the national security, and pursuant to the provisions cited below for protecting intelligence and intelligence sources and methods, it is essential that every precaution be taken to prevent any leaks or unauthorized disclosures of classified infor- mation, especially information originating in another U. S. Govern- ment agency. Accordingly, all eur.ployees having access to such information in connection with their official duties should take neces- sary action to insure that Its dissemination Is controlled in strict compliance with the orders and directives below: a.
