Thank you very much for your letter of 19 August 1980 which included
the $30,000 check in payment for the non-salary costs for the FBIS editor,
Regarding the costs relating to improvement of the teletype link,
your proposed method of payment would. be very appropriate.
It is unfortunate that you have had to forego your planned visit to
the United States this fall. It would have been a pleasure to see you in
Washington. Perhaps there will be other opportunities for a visit in the
future.

I welcome your invitation to visiti the next coordination STAT
meeting sometime early next year. At the moment, February would appear
to be somewhat more convenient than January for FBIS in terms of our
internal planning, but I would be pleased to accommodate to your preference.
It would be interesting to see your new building at that time.
In this connection, I believe it would-be beneficial forl STAT
our London bureau chief, to participate in the coordination meeting.
