Mr. Johnson opened the meeting by saying that his original concern in calling the meeting had changed from one of interfacing SAFE to existing ODP computer centers and services to one of integrating SAFE into the fabric of ODP operations. After reviewing some of the history of SAFE's project organization and management charter, the group felt that there had been enough changes and progress in the SAFE project to reevaluate the relationship between the SAFE PMO and the rest of ODP. 2. to find out what support facilities and personnel would be required for the SAFE Center and then to quantify how much could be saved if this Center used a hardware and system software architecture which was common to existing OD:P centers. Mr. Johnson said this was a responsive approach to the question. STATINTL STATINTL 3. After lengthy discussion, agreement was reached that at least conceptually SAFE would be treated as another major ODP service, integrated into the fabric of ODP just as GIMS and VM have been.
