Tasks Accomplished
1. All Budget Trend Reports and Worksheets for the
Conc ' nal Budget were completed by 0800, 7 November.
2. A special request from the Office of Finance/
Compensation Division was processed on the 360/20 by DCB/
PD. The request required the printing of a 1' and 3X5
labels for annuitants under CSC cover. STATINTL
Tasks Planned
1. A correction for the GIM COMMON NAME problem will
be delivered to the Data Base Management Branch/PD this
week.
2. A new RAMIS release (01.02.05) was received for the
VM and BATCH systems. This new release, which contains
STATINTporrections reported to Mathema ica, is expected to be in
test mode next week.

3. Local Level-I of SVS will be delivered to SIS and
OD on 10 November for preproduction testing. This new
version is tentatively scheduled for production use on 17
December.
Problems
.1. The CAMS data base was unavailable for approximately
si on 1 November because of a disk head crash.
2. Several I/O errors were encountered while performing
the "back-up" function for the CAMS data base. These errors
appeared to be transient in that they disappeared after the
data base was moved module. The problem is being
investigated by ED. &a&

3. A program error in a 14-year-old SIMJOB program
caused priority 1 personnel reports of the personnel
month-end processing to be one day late. Sixteen hours of
weekend overtime were required to resolve the problem.
4. JES3 has been unstable during the past week because
of frequent occurrences of long-standing problems. IBM is
concentrating on solving these problems and corrections STATINTL
will be implemented as soon as possible.
