25 - 28 October 1977
EAG Project Review Meeting Rescheduled
The initial EAG meeting on Project Review has been
postponed until 6 December. This postponement was required
because one office submission had not been received and the
capacities for ODP major computer services have not been
determined. This meeting will be an overview of the total
requirements surfaced by the projected FY-78 requirements for
STATINTL our major projects.
Offers Received on Replacement of IBM 360/195
Best and final offers on the replacement for the IBM
360/195 were received from 3 vendors. Management Staff and
Engineering Division are performing the preliminary cost
evaluation. Final cost evaluation will be done by the Office
STATINTL of Logistics.

CIA/DIA Building Study
as part of the CIA/DIA Building Study for
the D I, is scheduled to meet with DIA regarding their ADP
structure and to evaluate the cons combining CIA/DIA
ADP in the Headquarters compound. STATINTL

Study Completed on OER Requirements
STATINTL
gave a final briefing on their study
of OER requirements and alternatives to satisfy these require-
ments. The key results are that APL is the correct language
for OER to use, OER analysts are undertrained in the use of
APL, OER does not receive adequate technical support in their
use of APL, and machine resources are needed. The recommenda-
tions were for training and providing increased resources such
as to produce acceptable response time to OER. - STATINTL
OS/ODP Working Group
The Working Group met on ,26 October. Items discussed
were the destruction of disk platters, and the forming of an
auditing and access control sub-group to define security
requirements policy and audit procedures. Also discussed were
risk analysis study that OS is undertaking on the "TaL
Special Centers, guidelines for the distribution poin security
and on-going efforts in im lementing software packages to
enhance system security. STATINTL
