I. Major Activities During the Past Week:
A. Support to DO & NFAC:
PEGASUS (Minicomputer Database on Terrorist Events) We pre-
pared a response for D/ODP signature to C/DDO/IAD regarding a
request for a feasibility study to upgrade the DO's Community-
oriented PEGASUS terrorism computer system. The DO's request also
asked that consideration be given to integrating NFAC's Agency-
oriented FITE system and PEGASUS into a single data base. Based
on discussions with representatives from NFAC and DO, it was
agreed that a Task Force approach would be the best initial step
to take in looking to improvements in Agency and Community com-
puter support against terrorist activities. We proposed that the
joint NFAC, DO, and ODP Task Force start its activities in mid-
December with a target date of 1 March 1982 for pre aring a
requirements paper and establishing priorities.
B. Support to OICE:
CAMS (Comirex Automated Management System) The CAMS2 P/SDC
Monthly Status Review Meeting was held last week. Action Items
for the P/SDC resulting from this meeting include: the establish-
ment of dates for bringing all Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
under Configuration Control, and for a revised System Requirements
Document (SRD) schedule. The revised SRD schedule will be based
on the requirement to expand upon and provide highlights of the
original Functional Requirements Document so as to facilitate a
baseline for Detailed Design. It was reported that the Test Data
Exchange activity is on schedule for the March '82 delivery.
The first test messages for the next mission preparation
activities were generated and transmitted on 6 November. This
constitutes the first ''live-data'' use of the Dual Mode software.
CAMS1 personnel, in cooperation with CMB and user representatives,
supported this activity throughout the week. The preparations
encompassed the Data Entry, Review, and Approval (both on-line and
batch) processes which culminated the successful test message

C. Support to OCO:
CARTDEV (Development of New Cartographics) The General Plot
Package (GPP) was modified to interface the AED 512 color graphics
terminal to VM. Implementation of the GPP in the MAPPER program
allows the OCO graphics designer to preview publication graphics
before producing color separation plates on the high speed plot-
ter. Implementation of the GPP in CAM is planned next to allow
previewing of color maps.
D. Support to OP:
PERHOSP The Bi-weekly payroll, PERSIGN, CEMLOC, Dread Dis-
ease, UBLIC and WAEPA files were processed and loaded on the
PERINSUR system. Four hundred data discrepancies were identified
by OP. Final conversion and the processing of Trial Balance data
was done on 7 November. PERINSUR identified 680 data discrepan-
cies and OP is researching the data errors. The first processing
of the PERSIGN - PERINSUR interface program was successfully exe-
cuted by Production Division on 9 November. PERINSUR
Project; Leader, presented a ten-hour PERINSUR users course to 12
OP personnel. OP students were pleased with the ease of use and
response capability of the system.
Biweek Payroll System. The Biweekly Payroll test has been
completed for the modifications due PP 01/82. The OF Test Team
has discovered minor problems throughout the test. We will make
the necessary program modifications and rerun the portions of the
test cycle to verify our corrections are complete.
