1. Major Activities During the Past Week:
PEGASUS (Minicomputer Database on Terrorist Events). We met
with representatives of the DDO and NFAC to discuss approaches for
improving support of the Agency's terrorism bases. Our discussion
centered on the need to improve PEGASUS response time and the long
range prospects of combining PEGASUS and FITE into one "central-
ized" database system.
MPS (Message Processing System). An enhanced version of
skeleton MPS was installed in Production Control Branch (PCB) on
19 October. This version constitutes the "baseline", and is con-
sidered the prerequisite of Bulk Data Services (BDS) being
accepted PCB. I
GRAPHICS. AUI Data Graphics has submitted the Extendable
Charting Option (ECO) draft user's manual for agency review.
Included in the manual is a sample ECO session-and examples of all
of the ECO chart types.
CAMS (COMIREX Automated Management System) .
briefed the CAMS2 P/S schedule to the T/S Configuration Control
Board. Particular emphasis was on the ICT (Installation, Check-
out, and Test) portions of the CAMS2 Phase I to Phase II trans-
ition plans.
The CAMSTACK (CAMS Color Graphics capability) planning and
development responsibilities were shifted this week to the CAMS1
Group. We received notice also that there is increased interest
in this capability on the part of operations.

PERHOSP, CAPER. The Ames building air handler chiller devel-
oped a coil leak over the weekend of 17-18 October. As a result,
the Microdata 8000 and the 6000 had to be powered down overnight.
