It is requested that you accept Emerson Electric's offer of $102,594 to buy back the electronics of the 400 HZ UPS ordered for Project SAFE. 2. We have been unsuccessful in our pursuit of a more advantageous price. Apparently we will have to absorb as a loss the cost ($35,000) of the associated batteries. 3. It is requested that another quarterly review of Project SAFE's renovation activities and cost be scheduled. Allocation of SAFE Terminals in Block 1 (b) Memo dtd 4 Sept 81 to D/CSPO fr C/SAS subj. Initial Impact of NFAC Reorganization on SAFE 25X1 1. Per telecon between DC/SAS and 25X1 Acting D/ODP, on 15 September 1981, the problem with installing SAFE 25X1 terminals is a near term problem, 8 to 10 weeks, and should not affect the installation of SAFE terminals in that building during the Block 1 time period. SAS, therefore, is planning to maintain the two thread concept recommended in (a) referenced memorandum and will proceed accordingly. 2. The SAFE (b) referenced memorandum regarding the requirement 25X1 for the installation of 29 SAFE terminals during Block 1 still applies.
