SUBJECT : SSG Meeting, 2 January 1982
1. I wish to explore briefly what you would like in the way of support
for the SSG meeting on Poland scheduled for 1100 on Saturday, 2 January 25X1
2. At a minimum, you will have the PDB and early AM SITREP from the
Polish Task Force with your Saturday morning material. If you plan to come
to HQS before the meeting, I will ask the Task Force to provide an update on
Poland and the Ops Ctr to provide an update on other crises as of 1000. In
addition, I will organize, if you believe it might be useful, a brief meeting
with the Polish ex at 1000 to discuss the latest events, trends, and
economic situation 25X1
3. If you do not plan to come to HQS prior to the meeting, we can LDX
the updates to you via the White House SITROOM or ask the Polish experts to
meet you there for a brief session.I1
