The Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence, US Air Force, is concerned that
community guidance does not focus sufficient emphasis on Intelligence
Community support for warfighting, crisis and contingency operations. The
US has become increasingly dependent on national peacetime-oriented space-
borne assets and associated communications with little assurance of their
survivability in combat. Current world events serve to highlight this
concern for our ability to support Service combat missions.
