Jordan--Arms Sales. You may wish to query Carlucci
regarding DoD plans to promote the F-16 and SAM
sales to Jordan. Because of the importance of
this issue to King Hussein's participation in
the President's peace initiative and because a.
bloody battle is likely to occur on the Hill,
Charlie Waterman recommends that we move ahead
with an assessment of the Jordanian military needs.
3. Please let me know if there is anything else you
wish to have for this meeting.
