1. Rhett Dawson, Staff Director, Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC),
has requested information on Soviet exploitation of U.S. press and news stories.
Specifically, do the Soviets exploit U.S. press and new coverage that is anti-
U.S. or anti-administration in content? Have any studies been done by the CIA
that show how this is done?
2. Mr. Dawson would like this information by COB on 17 March 1982.
