Subject transcript and questions are attached for your review and response, respectively. In reviewing the transcript, feel free to make corrections where necessary in the transcript itself. This, of course, does not include inserti additional substantive material not aired before the Committee. 2. I would draw your attention to Mr. Boland's 15 March letter (attached) transmitting the transcript and questions. In paragraph two, the Chairman makes reference to reporting re external control of the Salvadoran 25X1 insurgency by non- . You will recall the DDCI's 4 March promise to supply such to the Committee (Reference: MFR dated 4 March 1982, EA 82-0811). Please advise as to the status of efforts in this regard and provide an anticipated date when such reports can be transmitted---in whatever form--- to the Committee. I would recommend we fulfill this request via briefing vice written response or actual transmittal of documents. 1 -1 25X1 3. Note also that the Committee--in paragraph three of Boland's letter-- is requesting a "photocopied set of the viewgraphs shown to the Committee" on 4 March. 4. The Committee is asking for all of the above by Wednesday, 24 March. Since we only just received the letter, questions, and transcript late on Friday, 19 March, such a deadline becomes a bit unrealistic. I will so inform the Committee Staff Director.
