SUBJECT: NSC Staff Suggestions for the Objectives
for the Intelligence Community for FY-1976
Attached are copies of the NSC Staff suggestions for revisions and additions
to the Substantive Objectives of the Intelligence Community for FY-1975
for use in the Substantive Objectives for FY-1976. These were prepared for
discussion at the NSCIC Working Group meeting on Janaury 29, 1975.
It is my understanding that a draft of the FY-1976 objectives incorporating
the suggestions of intelligence consumers will be considered at the next
meeting of the NSCIC Working Group. It would be helpful to have copies of
this draft several days before the meeting in order to continue the process
of direct consumer participation in developing guidance for the Intelligence
Community.
Copies of these NSC suggestions were given informally to General Thomas,
Executive Secretary of the NSCIC Working Group and Mr. Carver, D/DCI/NIO,
immediately following the January meeting.
