It is requested that-the attached draft of "Office
of Medical Services Health Education Series: Self-
Examination of the Breast" be published as an ALL EMPLOYEE
BULLETIN (opposed to 1-6 distribution) and that it be
published on or after 18 May 1981.

SELF-EXAMINATION OF THE BREAST
The Office of Me.dical.S.ervice.s will conduct a special
small group program on the technique of self-examination of
the breast. Self-examination is an important part in a
program of early detection of breast cancer.
The program will include the American Cancer Society
movie "Breast Self-Examination" followed by practice in the
technique of breast self-examination with the use of the BETSI
Breast Teaching Model. The program will be under the supervision
of OMS physicians and nurses.
These clinics will be held in the Medical Office Conference
Room, 1D 4021, Headquarters. Depending on the degree of interest,
the clinics will be held during the months of June and July 1981.
