SUBJECT: Revision of Executive Order 12036 Restrictions
on Intelligence Activities
1. I am pleased to report that the interagency group
has completed its report on proposed revisions to the portions
of Executive order 12036 that impose restrictions on intelli-
gence activities. I am also pleased that the report is
unanimous, acceptable resolutions having been reached on all
disputed issues.
2. I recommend that you sign the attached memorandum
to the Assistant to the President for National Security
Affairs which will transmit the recommendations, and a draft
Executive order embodying them, to the various interested
officials.
