Walter Pforzheimer w o as een consu ted by Ballantine on
selections for their new series of re rints on intelligence
matters strongly recommended the book and provided them
with a copy. At present, the execu ive editor in charge,
Owen Locke, does not plan to print either the illustrations
or all of the appendices. Locke plans a trade paperback run
of 25,000 - 35,000 copies at $10.95 per copy. He wants Tom
to rewrite and combine the two prefaces for which he is
prepared to pay him an honorarium. This revised preface will
obviously have to go through the Publications Review Board
and the honorarium matter will have to be decided upon by the
Office of General Counsel at the appropriate time.
