Dear Mr. Owens:
Witty reference to your letter of. January 11, in response to my request
for information on the role of Wolfgang Yourgrau in CSS intelligence operations
during W-Ioeld War II, please be so kind to inform me what procedure I should
follow ip appealing to your Review Committee.
I fully understand that you are forced to let me wait my turn, but I
believe my. own situation has become exceptional and critical indeed. I simply
cannot afford, in view of the restrictions placed on my time by academic life
and in view of the enormous obligations I have incurred to 50 scholars of
world reputation, to wait any longer for the straightforward information I need
in order to complete a crucial academic project.
When you advised me in your letter' of January 11 that it would be more
reasonable for me to await your response "as soon as feasible," I certainly
had no idea that it might take more than 7 months!
May I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Sincerely yours,
Alwyn van der Iferwe
