SUBJECT: President's Commission on Executive Exchange
The President's Commission on Executive Exchange will accept
nominations for participation in Exchange XIII of the Executive
Exchange on March 1. The Commission will select --- on a competitive
basis --- no more than 20 Federal executives for participation in the
Exchange. These man and women will represent the Federal Government
in business. Hence, we will accept for nomination only those
executives you have personally approved as top caliber, those for whom
there is gain by an Exchange experience and who can provide
substantial contribution to the Government upon return.
The President has stated that participation in the President's
Executive Exchange be considered as an investment in future management
of the Federal Government. Because of this and because of current
budget and personnel reductions, we ask you to carefully review the
papers of those presented for nomination, to discuss participation
with the potential nominees, and to assess the nominee's re-entry
options.
