SUI3JEC`a': Senior Officer Development Course
Tie Office of Training and Education will conduct the
second Scnior Officer Development Course (SODC) this fall. The
course aui..L1 begin on 13 September and run through 11 December
19 8.1.
2. ,?,.s the SODC is designed to be the preparatory educational
experi.eo.f:_(:, for those moving into the Senior Intelligence Service,
the cri.t:+; rja for selection must be strict. Nominees should be
GS-15s utit:, were assigned a Comparative Evaluation Descriptor
Category G or II in the last ranking. The number of reserved
spaces for the Directorate of Administration is five; addi-
tionally, I am asking that you nominate two alternate officers who
meet these criteria so that they may be enrolled if original
nominees are subsequently withdrawn.
3. In order that the individuals selected for this course are
able to undertake the necessary preliminary reading and other pre-
course work, I am requesting that your nominees and alternates be
identified to the Director of Training and Education by 3 August
1981.
4. I am enthusiastic about this program in intelligence
education. Your previous support is appreciated, and I am sure
that you agree that the program's continued success and long-range
value to the Agency will depend directly upon the quality and
potential of the people we select to attend.
