The Office of Training and Education will conduct the second Senior Officer Development Course (SODC) this fall. The course will begin on 13 September and run through 11 December 1981, 2. is the SODC is designed to be the preparatory educational experience for those moving into the Senior Intelligence Service, the criteria for selection must be strict. Nominees should be GS-15s t.;ho were assigned a Comparative Evaluation Descriptor Category I or II in the last ranking. The number of reserved spaces for the Directorate of Science and Technology is four; additionally, I am asking that you nominate two alternate officers who meet these criteria so that they may be enrolled if original nominees are subsequently withdrawn. 3. In order that the individuals selected for this course are able to undertake the necessary preliminary reading and other pre- course work, I am requesting that your nominees and alternates be identified to the Director of Training and Education by 3 August 1981. 4.
