As per our discussion at yesterday's
staff meeting, and my memorandum to you of
20 December (see Tab 1), it occurred to me
that it might be well for you to go on
record expressing your concerns about the
implications from an intelligence point of
view of the commercialization of the
LANDSAT/METSAT. (In point of fact, this
probably should have been done some time
ago, but I only became aware of this problem
the day before the Cabinet Council meeting.)
