SUBJECT: Assignment of Cable Address for COMIREX (OICE/ICS)

1. I am requesting that the COMIREX Staff (Office of Imagery
Collection and Exploitation OICE ICS be assigned its own specific
cable address within the communications net. At
present our incoming and outgoing ra is on this net moves under the
generaexcellent address. Although the OD&E Special Designee Cable Center
gives us support in receiving and forwarding our messages, we
believe that our future requirements make it essential that we have our
individual cable designation.
2. As detailed Community planning activities for the oncoming
advanced system accelerate, we anticipate considerably increased message
traffic in the future among COMIREX DICE elements, NRO components --
-- and user-Community organizations.
we believe that by having a unique CUMIREX cable address our flow of
traffic will be better focused and expedited and it will allow us to
maintain more effective mahagement control over our expanding message
correspondence.
3. We have coordinated this proposal with the NRO through their
COMIREX representative. He informs us that the NRO staff concurs in our
request.
