1. CIB advised on 3 December ved a cable from
NSA passing the clearances on on 1 December STAT
1982. As the IC Staff was listed as an addressee on the cable, they did
not call us to inform us of the content of the message. As of yet, our
copy of the cable has not been received.

3. As the message from NSA gave CI the authority to pass
clearances on behalf, please advise me of STAT
the areas to w lc you wish to have him permanently certified.
hAyP is done through CIB. I mention this only becausel RTAAT
has mentioned it to me as something he would like nave
accomplished.
4. In another vein, I am still waiting to hear from Headquarters,
Office of Security, er or not a polygraph will be necessary
for in all likelihood, they will view him as STAT
a Liaison icer rom 1779-a-n-d will not require him to be polygraphed.
However, that issue is still open and I will have to await their
decision before telling you officially his clearance status.
