1. 1 is a Major in the United States Air Force STAT
who has been assigned to the Intelligence Community Staff as a military
assignee since 1979. He is due to retire from the miliary service on
30 June 1982. He will terminate his association with us at that time.

2. The Office of Planning, Intelligence Community Staff, would
like to retail services as a consultant for several

months following is retirement ry service. It is the
desire of this office to utiliz several days each week STAT
until a full-time replacement can be obtained for him. It is
anticipated that his association with the Intelligence Community Staff
on a consultant basis would not exceed a 6-month period.
3. It is requested tha be security approved to work
as a consultant on behalf of the IC Staff in the capacity stated
above. If approved, his services would begin in early July 1982,
immediately following his separation from the military service.

4. As will require all of the special access STAT
approvals that he was granted as a military assignee, it is also
requested that CIB allow him to be retained in this status if he is in
fact approved by the Clparanrp sion as a consultant. If this
request is approved, will be completely debriefed once his STAT
consultant association Terminated. Attached herewith for your
informatin i v of the official request to the Office of Personnel
