TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE:
FIRST EVIDENCE OF DEPLOYED CAT-1 (CHINESE ANTITANK MISSILE)
COMMENT: The correlation of terrain features at this new combined arms training
area with open source photography provides the first satellite evidence of CAT-1
deployment. The CAT-1 is positioned to provide overwatching fire for personnel
trenches and to reinforce anti-tank trenches and obstacles. The covered rectan-
ular Position is atypical and intended for demonstration purposes.
