1. SIGNIFICANCE: EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE POL FACILITIES HAS
OCCURRED (SWN)
2. REMARKS: TWO MEDIUM POL STORAGE TANKS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED AND
A THIRD HAS BEEN BLACKENED/DAMAGED. EXTENSIVE DARKENING TO THE
SURROUNDING AREAS, POSSIBLY CAUSED BY OIL SPILLAGE OR FIRES, IS
EVIDENT. TWO LARGE SUPPORT STORAGE BUILDINGS HAVE ALSO BEEN
RAZED/DESTROYED (SWN)
OPEN SOURCES REPORT THAT ON 2 OCTOBER ANTIGOVERNMENT GUERRILLAS
BLEW UP TWO LARGE STORAGE TANKS AT THE CARIBBEAN PORT OF
BENJAMIN ZELEDON WHICH PROBABLY EQUATES TO THE DAMAGE OBSERVED
AT NEARBY PUERTO ISEBELL. (SWN)
