1. SIGNIFICANCE: A MARINE AMPHIBIOUS UNIT, CONSISTING CF AT LEAST
10 LVTP-7 LANDING VEHICLES AND FOUR TANKS, IS DEPLOYED NORTH CF
THE FACILITY NEAR SEVERAL PLAYING FIELDS. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: MOST OF THE FORCE IS DEPLOYED IN A SKIRMISH LINE
ALONG A STREAM AND ADJACENT TO A RESIDENTIAL AREA. SEVERAL
PROBABLE HEAVY WEAPONS POSITIONS (NOT ON GRAPHIC), WHICH WERE
PROBABLY NOT PRESENT ARE ON TWO HILLTOPS
OVERLOOKING THE MARINE POSITIONS. TWO OTHER WEAPONS POSITIONS
(NOT ON GRAPHIC), NOT PRESENT ARE AT/NEAR A ROAD
INTERSECTION IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE MARINE POSITIONS. THESE
POSITIONS ARE PROBABLY GUARDING THE WESTERN APPROACHES TO FORT
RUPERT AND RICHMOND HILL. (SWN)
