1. SIGNIFICANCE: NONDIVISIONAL COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT IS
OPERATIONALLY DEPLOYED IN THE TRAINING AREA WEST OF THIS
FACILITY. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: FOUR TWIN PLATE TROPOSCATTER RELAY SETS ARE ORIENTED
NORTH, EAST, SOUTH, AND WEST. TWO ADDITIONAL TWIN PLATE SETS,
ONE IN OPERATIONAL CONFIGURATION WITH ANTENNAE NOT YET ERECT
AND ONE IN TRAVEL MODE, ARE ALSO PRESENT. A PROBABLE PARK
DRIVE SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SET AND A PROBABLE
COMMUNICATIONS CENTER CONSISTING OF EIGHT VAN TRUCKS ARE
NEARBY. USSURIYSK AL 3 IS NOT KNOWN TO HOUSE TWIN PLATE
EQUIPMENT, BUT DOES HOUSE A SIGNAL REGIMENT AND AN EARLY
WARNING BATTALION. (SWN)
