1. SIGNIFICANCE: ONE VIETNAMESE POLNOCNY MEDIUM AMPHIBIOUS
ASSAULT LANDING SHIP (LSM) AND TWO SMALL MERCHANT SHIPS ARE
OFFSHORE SOUTHWEST CAY ISLAND. (SWN )
2. REMARKS: THESE SHIPS FROEABLY HAVE ARRIVED SINCE
HOWEVER, THE AREA WHERE THEY ARE ANCHORED TODAY WAS CLOUD
COVERED ON THAT DATE. EXITING DEFENSIVE MEASURES ON THE
ISLAND INCLUDE FIVE ARMORED VEHICLES, AT LEAST SIX ANTIAIRCRAFT
ARTILLERY PIECES, AND AT LEAST FOUR. FIELD ARTILLERY (FA)
PIECES, ALL IN DEFENSIVE POSITIONS. SOME OF THESE WEAPONS MAY
HAVE BEEN CANVAS COVERED CN F] (SWN)
NO NAVAL UNITS ARE OBSERVED AT SIN COWE ISLAND I
HOWEVER, AT LEAST TWO ADDITIONAL DEFENSIVE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN
