FT TRANSPORTER,DOCK LATER OCCUPIED BY THE NEW-
CLASS SUBMARINE ARE OBSERVED.
GORKIY SHIPYARD AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT PLANT 112 IS
LOCATED ON THE WEST BANK OF THE VOLGA RIVER IN THE
SORMOVO SUBURB OF GORKIY.
SIGNIFICANT EXPANSION OF SHIPBUILDING FACILITIES
HAS BEEN OBSERVED AT THIS YARD RECENTLY. THIS
EXPANSION INCLUDES A NEW PROBABLE CONSTRUCTION
HALL ACROSS THE TRANSVERSER SYSTEM FROM THE LARGE
MAIN CONSTRUCTION HALL, A NEW VERY LARGE THREE-
BAY BUILDING IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF THE NEW PROBABLE
CONSTRUCTION HALL, AND A THIRD NEW BUILDING IN THE
EASTERN CORNER OF THE YARD.

BARGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION ON THE OPEN BUILDING WAY, ONE ZEYA-CLASS YRSN,
2 PROBABLE APL, 7 YR, ONE AIR CUSHION VEHICLE SIMILAR TO SORMOVICH (APPROXI-
LENGTH OVERALL) ON A BARGE, 2 BARGES, 2 AT, A FLOATING CRANE,
AND SEVERAL SMALL CRAFT, 2 J-CLASS SSG SAILS ARE ON THE. QUAY BACK OF THE
CRANEWAY. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON THE NEW LARGE BUILDING. WORK ON THE
QUAY AREA CONSISTS OF 2 SUCTION DREDGES DEPOSITING HYDRAULIC FILL AT THE
EAST AND WEST EXTREMITIES OF THE QUAY.
