Thank you for your interest in the Foreign Broadcast Information
Service. We received your resume and, although we do not hire technical
translators as such, we do have occasional openings for general translators
in the languages you cite. You indicate that you will be available
in September of 1981, but you do not indicate if you will be in the
United States at that time. We do not hire from overseas, because
of the extensive testing and administrative tasks involved. If you
plan to be in Washington, D.C., however, let us know and we will
make an appointment for an interview.
