Last November 5th, we requested the assistance of your agency to translate
several technical reports written in the German language. The reports
describe the process and results of a long term research project being
conducted by the West German Government on computer recognition of hand-
writing.
We have since received the translation and I would like to thank the
personnel of your agency for a very thorough and excellent job. No
doubt, this was a tedious project for them, given the size and technical
nature of the documents.
It is my understanding the following personnel were responsible for this
fine work:

The translated documents will assist us greatly in evaluating this
