SUBJECT: DoD Tri-Services Committee Reviews
REFERENCE: Memorandum for D/ORD from ADDS&T, dated
4 June 1982 (DDS&T-2651-82)
1. I have made arrangements to meet with Mr. Hugh Montgomery
of NAVMAT (his office is located at 800 N. Quincy St., Room 1018)
at 2:30" pm on 21 October 1982 to discuss the implementing
procedures necessary to enable Agency annual reviews of
contractors of interest independent research and development
(IRAD) proposals. This meeting is the first step in the
implementation of a formal procedure in accordance with the
reference tasking. Since ORD has been named as the organization
responsible in the DDS&T for the technical evaluation of
contractors' IRAD proposals, I would like to invite you or your
designee to attend the aforementioned meeting.
2. For your information, Mr. Montgomery has invited
Dr. Frances Renswold of the Air Force Systems Command and
Dr. Karl Bastress of DARCOM (Array) in an attempt to provide a
uniform procedure for reviewing agencies' inputs on contractors
of interest IRAD submissions. Please advise your ability to
attend the meeting or provide the undersigned with the name of
your designee.. Appreciate your assistance and cooperation in
this matter. .
