SUBJECT Mandex, Inc., Computer and Data Systems
Designing
1. The attached is a syllabus of Mandex,"Inc., a computer
and data communications systems designing firm. The firm is
represented to potential Government contracting components by its
Vice President, W. Edward Andrews. The firm seeks to provide its-
services to intelligence analysis, scientific and technical
methods of collection, logistics, management, and training. (See
Section VI and attached exhibits.) Mandex has recently established
offices at Tyson's Corner. The firm's previous experience is out-
lined in Appendix B. The firm came to my attention while serving as
the EEO Officer for the DDO and has recently requested my assistance
toward enabling it to present its capabilities to the Agency.
2. The firm's understanding of the Agency's mission and
organization and the issues the Agency faces in the 1980's are
outlined in Section VI, and appear to be drawn from books and
other overt sources. (Therefore, you can excuse the misunder-
standings, recognizing the research and preparation effort as a
postive element toward consideration.) In light of your current
and future requirements, please review and provide me with your
comments and expressions of interest in pursuing or exploring
contract relationship with Mandex, Inc.
3. After receiving your comments and expressions of
interest, I will forward same to Deputy Chief, Procurement Man-
agement Staff/OL for his use in arranging a capabilities
presentation.
