1. SAFE Training has Begun
The Offfce of Training and Education began conducting
Its first SAFE course for the Office of Central I'.eference 3APE
User Representatives (SURE) on 19 March.
2. External Procurement
ODP concurred in the proeurernent of two 1Vang
Professional Computers (PCs) by the Information Management Staff,
DUO. The Wang PC is being evaluated as part of the t~iAFT
testbed.
ODP also concurred in the procurement of a Univac
1100/62 mainframe for use by the National Photographic
Interpretation Center Development Program Collateral and
Information Segment contractor, the Hughes Aircraft Company.
3. Support to the Office of Security
FOURCI;E (Community-wide Computer Assisted Compartmenta-
tion Control System). The 4C implementation group met on
10 March to discuss the installation status of project 9C. The
4C development team will proceed with the scheduled 3i March IUC
date. The time that has been lost because of the delay in
installation of terminals at user locations will reduce the time
allocated for integrated system test by the development team and
4C users prior to IUC. We plan to perform the system integrated
test as users are trained and as terminals are installed/tied
down by Uffice of Communications engineers.
