SAFE Early Capability All of the DIA SAFE system equipment has been installed and is undergoing hardware testing. At a meeting held on 10 February, agreement was reached by CSPO and DDI representatives regarding the detailed testing and training schedule for the CIA system. The schedule covers the period of 28 February through 4 April, with production operations for the CIA system scheduled for 28 March. Live DATEX message traffic is being used to build the CIA system's document data base and for testing the CIA system's application software. 2. Support to Office of Security The Community Computer Assisted Compartmentation Control System (4C) stand-alone computer system was turned over to the 4C development team for applications software testing during the week of 21 February. This test will run for approximately six weeks in preparation for Initial Operating Capability on 31 March. 3. (U) Processing Wang Laboratories is replacing all of the 7581 WT and 7581 W-1T Daisy Printers with 7582T Printers that accommodate the DSF-T Twin Sheet Feeder. The first 24 of these have already arrived at the depot and will be distributed over the various Agency components that had ordered twin sheet feeders. Engineering Division has received three of these printers and feeders, which will be installed this week, for testing purposes. (U) Data Conversion Branch/PD has moved from the GE72 area to the 1G34 area in Headquarters. (U) The telephone numbers at the CAMS2 Developmental Center have been chap ed. QAD has created models to simulate the current CAMEXEC version of the PIR. ISTRATIVE - INTERNAL USE t Y Effective 1 March, the hours of operation of Gimproduction and Gimdevelopment will be changed as follows: Gimproduction from 0800 - 2000 M-F to 0700 - 2000 M-F. Gimdevelopment from 0800 - 1800 M-F to 0700 - 1800 M-F. Applications TADS (Technical Analysis and Display System). On 16 February, TRW executed a successful communications test between the Graphics Interface Controller (GIC) and the IBM 3081. This was a test with multiple TADS users (three stations) to insure that the modifications made to the GIC code would function properly under normal system operating conditions. This completes the GIC/IBM 3081 testing and insures that TADS is ready for the move to the 3081 processor on CAMS2 (P/S) Government Furnished Services. The testing began on 16 February for routine software maintenance on the CAMS2 (P/S) Development Center COMTEN front-end processors. Change to the COW EN system generation will allow terminals connected to COWENS Wl and W2 at the W2 Building to be linked via networking software to COWEN D3 in the Special Center. Authorized users at the CAMS2 (P/S) Development Facility will be able to access the CAMS Production System. Bi-sync lines will also connect CAMS Production to the CAMS2 (P/S) Development System. Changes could not be installed until the CAMS2 (P/S) Development Facility was operating in a classified mode. All modifications will be installed in coordination with TRW at W2. (U) LIMS. The LIMS Project Team has moved from the 3G31 area to the 2D46 area of the Building. The mailing address remains ODP/LIMB Project 2G20B F--]Building The telephones are expected to be installed next week with the extension remaining WASP (Wang Analysis of System's Potential). Cabling for Applications' initial configuration of the Wang Alliance System will be completed this week. The initial system will contain: one CPU one disk, six workstations, and two printers.
