STAT The T&A Team met with of SPD to
learn more about what AIM is and how it fits into the T&A
architecture. The meeting was most beneficial. AIM has some
very attractive features: a) system-to-system interface; and,
b)automatic error recovery. We also discussed again our
present thinking of using NOMAD2 as a VM data base for T&A
collection. We are looking into the possibility of merging the
existing NOMAD2 architecture with AIM for the system-to-system
interface. Last week we tried a simple exercise with each ACIS
team member calling up a simple T&A menu for the purpose of
testing response time. We one had about 20 users but the
STAT response was excellent. (U)
The LIMS Quality Assurance Contractor (CTEC) delivered the
final Requirements and Design Document for the Configuration
Item Index Enhancements to the Quality Assurance Status
Accounting System. Programming has been completed on the first
phase, and Configuration Item Index Reports are now being
produced from QASAS rather than WANG. Programming on the
library functions and distribution lists is delayed due to lack
STAT of resources for GIMS programming. I (U)
The award fee for LIMS Quality Assurance Contractor (CTEC)

trouble shooting the problem of accesses and Mike Boushell
(Pansophics technician) is checking out the sort problem.
These problems should be resolved next week and testing will
STAT continue. (U)

1985 Congressional Budget. The "hit numbers" for the
1985 Congressional Budget were received on 28 November. As
anticipated, there was a reduction of SSR positions (four in
1984 and three in 1985). Also, there were Congressionally
directed reductions in both 1984 and 1985 for external
assistance (contractual and maintenance services) and in the
inflation factor. The DDA adjusted our FTE levels to provide
in 1984 and 1985 for the level of temporary part-time support
we used in 1983. Overall, our non-personal service funds were
reduced by 3.6% in 1984 and 2.2% in 1985 from the levels in our
OMB Budget. These reductions do not apply to the CAMS funds
STAT which have recently been transferred to our budget.
