ENERGY MANAGEMENT REPORTS 15 May 1980
1. DOE request for review and update of draft Directory of Federal
Agency Energy Officials. We responded 23 April 1980.

2. Executive Directive dated 1 February 1980 directed that mileage
traveled by government-owned and -leased vehicles be reduced by
10% during the months of February and March 1980 compared to the
same period in 1979. Applies to vehicles which consume gasoline.
Also stated that agencies determining that this directive severely
jeopardizes essential missions should contact GSA.
o Letter dated 28 February 1980 sent to GSA requesting exemption
to the 10% mileage reduction for February and March 1980.
o Letter dated 1 April 1980 from GSA denying request for
exemption. Further stated that if additional requirements
are placed on Federal Agencies or if this goal is extended
beyond 31 March 1980, GSA would consider a further relief
at that time.
Annual Report on Energy Management submitted to DOE on 2 July 1979
in compliance with E.O. 12003 of 20 July 1977.
4. DOE request for total number of buildings Agency occupies nation-
wide (14 June 1979).
Our reply of 22 June 1979 to DOE deferred response to GSA
who manages energy resources in our buildings. Copy of
reply sent to GSA (9 July 1979).

5. DOE request for Preliminary Energy Audit Report - Form EIA-77
(11 June 1979).
Our reply of 29 June 1979 to DOE suggested form be sent
to GSA since GSA manages energy resources utilized in the
operation and maintenance of the buildings we occupy.
6. DOE forwarded draft copies of Form EIA-77, "Preliminary Energy
Audit Report" to facilitate data collection (24 May 1979).
Our reply of 15 June 1979 suggested that the form be
directed to GSA for its specific compliance since GSA is
in charge of operation and maintenance of our buildings.
7. Executive Directive dated 10 April 1979 requesting 5% reduction
in Agency energy consumption for the 12-month period beginning
1 April 1979 as compared with the preceding 12 months. Also
called for reduction of automotive fuels by 10%. Further
requested that we submit a plan for achieving this energy
reduction. We responded 15 May 1979.
8. Annual Report on Energy Management submitted to DOE on 14 July 1978
in compliance with E.O. 12003 of 20 July 1977.
