1. This Office has reviewed the several pieces of legis-
lation forwarded with the references.
2. Although we agree with your comments made in Tab B,
reference a, that sunset legislation will require a more de-
tailed review of Agency programs, we believe it would be
inappropriate to exclude intelligence activities from these
Acts provided provisions are included in each to protect
sensitive intelligence information. S. 2 and I1? R. 2, as you
65 does not. We
noted, do contain these provisions; H. .
suggest a section be added to H. R. 65 which will protect
Intelligence activities. Similarly, intelligence charter
legislation when enacted should afford this protection.
