SUBJECT : Agenda for Executive Committee Meeting,
7 November 1979
The Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday, 7 November 1979,, at
2:30 P.M. in the DCI Conference Room:
1. Discussion of NFAC's efforts to identify critical, long-range
intelligence problems. Mr. Clarke will lead the discussion, which will
address:
--the list of candidate problems NFAC has identified and
how it was developed;
--lessons learned in assembling the problem set;
--how the NFAC will proceed from here, including how
and when others outside the NFAC should get involved;
and
--the relevance of this effort to Agency long-range
planning.
Some background material provided by NFAC is attached.
2. Briefing by Mr. Huffstutler on NFAC's research program on
Soviet Military Policies and Forces in the 1980s. This effort is an
example of the long-range and production planning NFAC hopes to do in
