Approved For Release 2005/06/22 : CIA-RDP85-00988R000600060054-2 3 0 APR 1979 ORA iDMI FOR : LDA/ODP/PD/PCB PROM: Executive Officer OL SUBJECT: Charging for Parking at the Headquarters Building ENCE: Your ltr to D/L, same subj (OL 9-16S9) 1. Thank you very much for your comrents on the paid parking proposal forwarded to this Agency by 0MB. Your thoughts on the matter and the situation you describe are similar to those voiced by many of our colleagues. We have raised these issues for consideration and hope to obtain some relief. As we read the OMB circular, it is clear, how- ever, that the need to conserve energy will impact on all of 2. Your information on parking fees is premature, as we will. not know the fees until later when they are estab- lished by GSA. Based on present Standard Level User Charges (fee charged the Agency by GSA for space), the cost is es- timated to be under $10 per month. Under the plan, rates will be charged at the 50 percent level in October 1979 and the full 1.00 percent in October 1981. Fees under $10 may be waived. 3. There are many factors to be considered; and we hope to persuade OMB to consider circumstances of irregular hours, cover, security, and lack of public transport. Again, your views are appreciated, and we hope to represent them properly. Distribution: Orig - Adse 1 - OL Official
