In the past I have consistently turn the position that when

and IA consonant with the terms of the legislation creating the Agency
which places upon mne the responsibility "for protectinS intelligence
sources and methods from unauthorised disclosure^.
This precedent of non-disclosure of such testimony has been
consistently followed since the Agency was?estabti.hled gad I feet
that it is in the national interest that it should be adhered to in this
Instance. It this precedent shoold.bess be broken down. serious
problems would be created for the future.
