I have asked Charles Beckwith to conduct an independent
survey for the White House of the needs, its responsibili-
ties and its potential resource output of the United States
Government for security during the 1984 Olympics.
To accomplish this task, Mr. Beckwith will need the support
and cooperation of your regional offices and any pertinent
classified material they may have.
As I am anxious for the results of this survey, I would
appreciate your assistance in this matter.
